Campus Piteå – a space for the future of learning

Campus Piteå is a meeting place for culture, creativity, and innovation. Apart from the wide range of programmes available it also houses businesses, research actors and enablers cooperating with the university and other educational actors. You can enjoy a large variety of events on campus: from concerts and performing arts to workshops, meetups, lectures, and business breakfasts.

There are also two business incubators on campus – Arctic Business and Go Business – as well as the business development company LTU Business, for those who have a business concept they would like to develop, or those who want to do some freelancing on the side while studying.

Studio Acusticum

Studio Acusticum is regarded as one of Europe’s most multifunctional concert halls, with world-class acoustics, technology, and service. It offers concerts with width, height, and depth, and has facilities available for meetings and other events. The concert hall is also known as home to one of the world’s most modern organs, Orgel Acusticum. Studio Acusticum is the home stage for students at Piteå School of Music at Luleå University of Technology.

Close connections in an amazing setting

As a student at Campus Piteå you will be near talented musicians with all that entails in the form of amazing concerts, interesting areas of cooperation, and meetings with conductors, composers and world-renown artists. Studio Acusticum is where you find Norrbottensmusiken with its ensembles Norrbotten Big Band, Norrbotten NEO, Norrbottens Kammarorkester and Piteå Kammaropera. Apart from producing concerts with their own orchestras, Norrbottensmusiken also hires many freelancing musicians every year for concerts representative of every genre, for children, young people and adults.
Norrbottensmusiken also works to support, strengthen and develop music life in various ways – for example through the nurseries Norrbottens Ungdomssymfoniker, AYJO (Arctic Youth Jazz Orchestra) and the vocal ensemble Arctic Light, and through cooperation between professional musicians and students. Do not miss out on Norrbottensmusiken’s Showcase, for example, where all those who are developing a musical production for children and young people can participate – we produce more than 250 concerts for children and young people every year.

At Campus Piteå you will find Go Business, managed by Piteå Science Park, helping creative and innovative entrepreneurs to move forward with their businesses. Participating in the Go Business programmes Hangout or Inkubator lets you develop your knowledge in areas that are important when running your own business, such as marketing and sales.
